TENTH GENERATION


708. John DILNUT/DILLNOT was born on 27 Dec 1632 in Ringwould Kent.(396) He signed a will on 20 Jul 1680.(397) I, John Dilnott of the parish of Sutton next Dover in the County of Kent, Cordwainer, being weak in body but of sound and perfect memory, praised be God do make and ordaine this to be my last Will and Testamentn manner and form following. First i give and bequeath my soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it me, and my body to the earth to be seemly buried by my executors hereafter named, trusting by and thro' the merits of Jesus Christ my Lord and Saviour to have full pardon and remission of all my sins. Item, I give and bequeath unto my four sons John, Nicholas, William and Valentine Dolnott all my land and tenements lying and being in Ash next Sandwich in the County of Kent to be equally divided amongst them. Item I give and bequeath unto my son John Dilnott my largest silver drinking cup and my great Bible. Item, I give and bequeath unto my son Nicholas Dilnott my goods, cattle and chattels which shall be in my house or elsewhere at the time of my decease. Item, I give and bequeath unto my two young grandchildren, daughters of my son William, viz Joyce and Martha Dilnott the sume of fifty shillings apiece to be paide to the at the end of one yeare next after my decease by my executors hereafter named.Item, I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth, daughter of my son John Dilnott, the sume of fifty shillings of the lawfull monie of England to be paide her at the end of one yeare next after my decease by my executors hereafter named. Item, I give and bequeath unto John Dilnott, son of my son Valentine Dilnott the sum of £5 of goode and lawfull monie of England to be paide him at the end of one yeare next after my decease by my executors hereafter named. Item, I give unto my two sons John and Nicholas Dilnott all my debts which shall be owing unto me at the time of my decease, they paying my debts legacies and funeral expenses. And I do hereby constitute and appoint my two sons joynt executors of the my last Will and Testament and destroying and revoking all wills by me formerly made. In wiltness whereof I now hereto set my hand and seale the twentieth day of July in the tenth year of the reigne of our Sovereign Lord Will the Third, King of England, Anno Domini 1680. John Dilnott, sealed, published and declared to be the last will and testament of the said John Dillnott in the presence of Amon Pirkard, Richard Barbar and Rich Heiid.(Note, in the original 20th is crossed out and 7th added. It seems he was one week late signing it.) He died on 18 Nov 1702 in Sutton by Dover Kent.(37) He was married to Joice CHAMBERS on 19 Feb 1661 in Canterbury Kent. (398)

709. Joice CHAMBERS died on 28 Dec 1672. She was born c1636 in Sandwich Kent. Children were:

child i. John DILNUT/DILLNOT was born about 1660.
child ii. Nicholas DILNUT/DILLNOT was born in 1665.
child iii. William DILNUT/DILLNOT was born in 1668.
